Well for Jess & Jeff, flights were missed, arguments were had, but all in all, these two amateur explorers had one of the most memorable experiences of their lifetimes.  They spent months scaling glaciers, climbing volcanoes, building bridges (literally), and meeting amazing individuals as they made their way across the vast landscapes of South and Central America.

Throughout Jess & Jeff’s cross-continental journey, the couple unfolded a passion for woven textiles and their designs.  They met indigenous leaders in the Aymara, Quechua, and Wayuu cultures, and began collecting their weavings for their own personal use….until one fine day, Jeff said, “Wait, these things are rad!” And American Merchant Trading Co. was born.
